Phuket, Thailand was way more spread out than I thought it would be. I booked a half day Phuket city highlights tour to get me to all the main sites I needed to see. Big Buddha, Chalong Temple, Orchid Garden, Kata View Point, Phrom Thep Cape, Honey Farm & Cashew Nut Factory were all on the itinerary. I must say the BBQ coated cashews were pretty tasty.
I walked around the Patong Beach area my last day and had a little selfie session with my tripod. It was so cute an older Thai man was sitting in his lawn chair at the Beach. He was looking as me strangely as I was posing and smiling. He finally had to get up and walk over to look at my phone. He started smiling and you could tell he was so intrigued by how I was taking my own picture. We never exchanged any words. He just gave me a thumbs up and smiled. These types of exchanges is what makes traveling so interesting to me. You learn you can communicate with people without using any words.
