Review: Tri Trang Beach Resort - DECENT FOR THE PRICE
Not bad. Breakfast & free wifi was included in the rate. I had an ocean view room & it was clean. Check in was easy. The ac worked but since it was a unit. There was no ac in the bathroom & I hate being hot after I shower. There is a refrigerator & TV. The balcony is nice & clean to sit out & enjoy the view. The bed is hard as a rock. I don't mind a firm mattress but this one feels like I'm on the floor. I missed having a desk. The breakfast was ok (but I am a picky eater so my food opinion doesn't mean much).
LOCATION it's not far from the Patong Beach strip BUT it's waaayyy up hill so taxi & tuk tuk want to charge 300 Baht ($10) to take you a couple of miles. I negotiated 250 Baht each way. The hotel does have a shuttle twice a day. The bellman were very eager to help me with my bags upon my arrival and departure.
