Review: Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Cape Castle - Metered Wifi
I was not crazy about this hotel. It was older and the location was not as convenient as reviews made it seem. I had a studio room. It was enough space for me but it probably would have been a little tight for two people. The bathroom was small.
I picked this hotel because it had a kitchenette. I wanted to be able to stay in and have my breakfast in the mornings and maybe have leftovers for lunch instead of getting dressed to go out.
My main issue was the wifi. Initially they were giving me these 500mb metered codes. I finally went down to speak to the manager after 6 codes. I started with this metered wifi is really annoying. He cut me off and said say no more. He gave me a code that didn't have limits so I've been happier with that. Although from time to time it does make me re-enter the code.
I had a view of Table Mountain from my room so that was nice. It was about a 20 minute walk to V&A waterfront.
