This was the WORST check-in I've ever had. The signage for the Movenpick free ferry does not stand out so beware of felucca guys trying to take advantage. My room was in the old tower and the guy just gave me the key to my room. He did not tell me anything about the facilities, ferry times, he didn't mention that I had breakfast in my rate. I had to go back through my reservation to confirm that.
The room was dated and the bed was HORRIBLE!!!!! It is a hard mattress. My phone cord was worn and when I tried to call reception they couldn't hear me so I had to go downstairs to tell them about the light not working. The person that came to fix the light and phone had a smart attitude. I went to the poolside bar to have a burger. The burger was TERRIBLE! I'm not sure what kind of beef that was but it was not right and it was way too salty. The man working in the bar was really pleasant. He got my order to me with no problems and he checked to make sure I didn't need anything else once my food came. However it was very inconvenient when I wanted to pay my food bill because I had to walk downstairs with him to the front desk to pay because they don't have a card machine in the bar!
There were sirens constantly so the noise level there was beyond annoying. The wifi was slow. Some of my emails were taking forever to load. I was so glad I only had 2 nights in that hotel. I personally don't ever have to stay at Movenpick Aswan again.
