11/25/2019 Checkin was easy, the apartment was clean. The AC wasn’t on but the unit cooled quickly
11/26/2019 Power Outage 1:10pm - 3:00pm. It was out of their control due to the load shedding on the power grid.
The one bedroom apartment is compact, but they have the furniture setup to make the space comfortable. The wifi is very reliable and the kitchen is well stocked if you choose to prepare your own meals. It has a 2 in 1 washer/dryer. I am not really of fan of these from an environmental perspective because of the long drying times. My clothes washed fine, but I shrunk them a little with the heat for the drying cycle.
Nonhle was a complete pleasure to chat with when she came to the apartment to see if I needed my towels replaced or any light cleaning. Everyone at the security gate and the security walking around was always very pleasant as well. The location is great with only a 15 minute walk to Gateway Theatre of shopping which offers a variety of shopping, dining and supermarket options.
It’s a short downhill walk to spend some time at Umhlanga pier. If you are not in shape it will be worth it to catch an Uber back. It shouldn’t be any more than $3 USD.
If you are not a fan of the 2 in 1 washer dryer there is a laundry service about a 20 minute walk away behind gateway mall that provides good service.
