Review: Protea Entebbe - Nice Garden Areas and Lake View
I stayed one night to be close to the airport. I wish I would have stayed longer. The reception staff and Daniel the bellman who handled my bags made my check-in and out a pleasant experience. The nice glass of apple juice as a welcome drink was a nice touch.
The room was spacious and very functional. The balcony was nice for sitting out and looking over Lake Victoria. I enjoyed dining at the Tides restaurant. Tracy and Gonzaga were both so nice and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the chicken avocado wrap for lunch and the grilled chicken basil pesto pasta for dinner. The complimentary shuttle to the airport was a huge plus and I wish I remembered the shuttle driver that took me because he pushed my bags up the ramp because the drop off area was closed. I would have had a hard time doing that myself.
The noise level was a little bit much during the day with music coming from the beach at the property next door. There were a lot of spider webs on the outside furniture so I didn’t get to sit out and enjoy the garden areas like I wanted to because I was worried about spiders crawling on me. These two issues are far outweighed by the good that I experienced so I would definitely stay at this property again.
