If you dread packing and unpacking your suit case packing cubes are for you! I opted out of them for a long time because I am a penny pincher and I didn’t want to spend $30 on some bags to put in a bag. When I tell you that first $25 I spent was the best investment ever I am not lying. I now have four sets of packing cubes and I plan to buy at least two more sets to finish being able to have my whole wardrobe packed down into storage tubs and suit cases. I only hang up the clothes that I am going to be wearing so my closet isn’t cluttered and it helps with my process of picking outfits for the week so I’m not standing in the closet just staring at clothes.
Bagail is the first brand of packing cubes I bought because they had a 6 piece mix with 2 Small, 2 Medium and 2 Large Bags. I wanted to test out each size and this set was a perfect way for me to do that. I loved my Bagail bags so much when I used them a few times that I invested in 2 more sets.
Amazon’s packing cubes appeared to be a good quality bag so I bought their set that consisted of 2 medium and 2 large bags. I really like the quality of the Amazon cubes also. I have used them on several trips.
Double sided cubes are another option if you don’t want to have to remove a layer of close to get to the others. The double sided cubes allow you to have two rows of items with a zipper on the top and bottom which makes them even more convenient.
If you are like me and you just can’t justify spending money on the packing cubes I started with a really cheap option for organizing my things. I used the 2.5 Gallon Storage bags that I found at Dollar Tree. You get a pack of 5 per box for $1.00. These held up really well for me on a five country trip. I think I only broke one of the bags with all my moving around. They aren’t as convenient as being able to open a zipper and access all of your things but they do help out a lot with your unpacking process or having to go through your suitcase at the airport. I have included links below to find these on Amazon but I recommend going to the Dollar tree because they are much cheaper there.
I hope this post has given you some ideas on how you can make your packing life a little more bearable. If you haven’t watched my video please check it out. I actually demonstrate the use of the bags and I give a couple more of my packing strategy ideas in the video.
Happy Packing!!!!
