Hotel Review: Saigon Prince Hotel – Great Staff & Good Location
I was warmly greeted by Mr. Huong and Mr. Tien when I arrived. My check-in was smooth. My room wasn’t ready yet so I walked around the area. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the Saigon River, People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame and Central Post Office by foot. All of the other city attractions are a short drive away. The room was comfortable and the AC cooled quickly. They only give you one key card so the AC is not on when you are out during the day. Mr. Tuan, Mr. Nam and Mr. Anh were life savers for me. I had my purse and phone stolen my second night in Ho Chi Minh and I couldn’t have asked for a better staff to be on duty. I managed to get some help from people in the area who let me use their phone to call the hotel. Mr. Tuan talked to them in Vietnamese and one of the people agreed to take me to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel Mr. Tuan and Mr. Nam took the responsibility of contacting Grab while I called to cancel my credit card and tried to lock my phone down. Mr. Anh was the hotel security on duty and he went with me to the police station to file the report. The next day I needed to wait on the report from the police and they allowed me to stay in the room until 2pm. It was great having compassionate people on duty during a traumatic experience.
