Review: Hotel Indigo New Orleans Garden District – THE ROOM LAYOUT WAS GREAT
When I checked into the room there was a bunch of trash on the floor like the room hadn’t been swept. I had an awesome view of New Orleans though.
The reservations department was frustrating to deal with. When I made my reservation I forgot my card on file had not been changed since my purse had been stolen. So when they ran the deposit the card declined and I missed the call because I was at a conference. On the voicemail he said I had 24 hours to call and update my payment method to keep my reservation. I called back a couple of hours later when I received the message and they had already cancelled my reservation.
After some back and forth and calling IHG they created a new reservation and the new reservation was cheaper, so the mistake worked out in my favor. I had to push for the updated price when checking out because they tried to tell me that I wasn’t supposed to get that price. Thankfully the customer service representative sent me the new reservation because if I wouldn’t have had that email the hotel would have made me pay the original price even though cancelling the reservation was their mistake.
