The staff is great and Faith was so welcoming when I entered the lobby for check-in and the bellman was at the car getting the bags before I got out. Another one of the bellman (Edwin) pointed me in the right direction as I was exiting the hotel one day to grab some lunch and walk around.
The lobby and pool areas of the hotel are well maintained. I was in a room on the pool floor and the staff was out early morning each day washing down the furniture and widows on the sliding doors to the room. The hotel rooms were very clean, but they are also very dated and way past due for a renovation. When I went to the fitness center to take pictures for my review the trainer approached me to see if I needed help and we had a nice chat about working out.
If you ever have to been in downtown Nairobi this is a perfect location. There are several food and shopping options. It’s also a short walk to the Kenya Parliament area if you like to sightsee local government offices. The free wifi was TERRIBLE and definitely not up to Hilton standards. I couldn’t view anything on Instagram or Facebook. They wanted $17usd a day for upgraded wifi, so if you need wifi this is not the hotel for you unless you want to pay the premium.
