GRACE & MERCY

Grace and Mercy come to mind when I think of the things we need the most in 2020. The one person I've realized I need grace and mercy from the most is MYSELF. I wanted to share that just in case you are reading this and need to offer yourself the same.

There is a lot of focus on what we CAN'T do and what has been LOST in the midst of this pandemic. Piling up on top of the pandemic is a recession, police brutality, racism, senseless killings and regular life issues. I don’t know about you but I am barely functional and completely checked out mentally and emotionally.

I am going to share the same advice with you that I am constantly giving myself. Don’t beat yourself up for what you haven’t done this year. This is a tough year so the fact that you are still standing is an accomplishment. I’m sure you have had moments of focus and clarity as I have over the last few months. Take those moments and make the best of them. When you don’t have it to give allow yourself some grace. It’s ok to NOT be ok.

I know we are all ready to throw this whole year away, but instead let’s try to see each new day as a new beginning. In this moment you are a survivor! You are OK! Some goals may be deferred and some income may be lost but as long as there is still breath in your body there is HOPE!

Godspeed
