Bogota was my first stop to collect my 6th continent South America. This pit stop in Bogota, Columbia was my most challenging experience to date. I didn’t run into anybody that spoke English. The bright side was that everyone I stopped tried to be helpful in spite of the language barrier. I was able to make it to Monserrate which was on the top of the list of things to see in Bogota. I missed the memo that Bogota was so hilly though, I thought I was going to die from walking all the hills to get there.
I was a little over whelmed from the struggle I had getting to Monserrate so I had sent out an SOS on social media. Thank God my friend had a friend in Bogota and sent them to my rescue. They were the coolest quickest responding search & rescue crew. They was scared they was going to find me in a corner balled up crying, so they fed me ice cream & everything. LOL
